Ariachrome Ref

I didn't think much people would care about it so much D:

But yeah here it is the Ariachrome ref. The species Meerin is. There are some things I couldn't fit in the picture so I will add them here for anyone that needs info for creating their own. If you want to, please ask me first.

If you need more info past what is here just ask I can answer, and will probably add it to the list.

Color Specifics

The color of the dragon is based on their personality and strengths. The colors can come in many tones not exactly what is shown.

The color of a dragon is decided apon their first transformation (They are not born in their dragon form)

White: A pure soul. The color of almost legendary status. For a long time the Aria were trying to forge a long lasting and peacful relationship with the angels. It was believed that a white dragon would have the closest relation to them and would symbolize the harmony and peace they wanted. So few white dragons ever appeared. If one ever arose they would be treated with royal status.

Gold: The color of a truely dedicated heart. Gold dragons often became great leaders in non-military oriented areas. Often passive, these dragons could become extremely agressive if something called for protection.

Isaac and Felix (Brothers)

Blue: This color often meant the individual was quiet and reserved and intelligent. This color dragon was often found doing general jobs like managing a shop. It wasn't uncommon to find them in important positions of the government or doctors. These dragons usualy prefer to flee from a fight.

Drake (Meerin's Childhood friend)

Green: These dragons are hasty and full of compassion. They are the type you would find doing jobs like childcare, or being an artist. Green dragons are quick thinkers and have good problem solving abilities. They are often smaller in size then the rest and are faster in flight. They can be formidible foes due to their speed.

Mairy ( relation a spoiler )

Brown: Brown dragons are generaly not very intelligent but have great physical strength. These brutes would often join the military force of their village home because they couldn't do much else. It is rare to find one that passed a full education. If antagonized these dragons could become agressive beyond control. Their strength is rivaled only by that of the earth dragons.

Red: Red is a revered color among the Arias. It is a symbol of great spiritual (magic) and physical power. They could be found as religeous or military leaders, also often the head of a village.

Hiro ( Relation a Spoiler )

Black: A rare color (lol shade) that was only passed down through the Thoelos family. Their village was in the mountains the lead to the northern regions. The Thoelos family lead the village as it grew and prospered, slowly with power however the family became less than compassionate towards the people. The last of the line is Meerin. (You cannot make a black Aria, this would mean you were creating an ancestor of Meerin that may never have existed. Sorry )

Meerin, Vhelan ( Meerins father ), Railen ( Meerins Brother ) Cayli ( Meerins Mother ) and Jheeten ( A very distant relative of Meerins )

Purple: These dragons were said to be the ones that started the black dragon line through some strange mix that caused the skin to lose color pigment. Purple is a sign of pure magic ability. They were often herbalists and healers. They were easily corrupted because of their state of mind and their tendancy to play with spirits and demons.

MARKINGS

Markings on each dragon are related to their parents markings. They can be pretty much any pattern. They vary from natural looking spots and stripes to un-natural looking tribal like markings.

EYES

The color of a dragons eyes are dependant on the color of the dragon's spiritual energy. Every being in the world has a color to their magic, no one knows why it is a certain color just that it is. A dragons magic will be the same color as their eyes.

State of the Species

In current times, the Aria species is near extinction since most of the world is filled with war. The last known village was the northern mountain village lead by the Thoelos family. The rest have mysteriously dissapeared. (actually they fled and hid in a giant mountain cavern that I should draw up or something. So it is possible to make a character that is alive during the timeline of Meerins story)

In the past the species was rather small in numbers in comparison to humans but lived peacfuly in small villages spread out across most of the northern continents.

ELEMENTAL COUNTERPARTS?

The Aria are the elementaly neutral species of the world. They are capeable of managing each of the elements in smaller ammounts then the dragon species of that element.

Other Species

Earth, Wind, Fire, Water with the subelement of Ice.

HALF DRAGONS/HYBRIDS

To cross a dragon with one of the elemental species would create a dragon with strange coloration and slightly different body structure, being a mix of both, but is possible.

Half human dragons would produce a weaker form of dragon. A human mother would face a few dangers of carrying the child of a magicaly inclined species but is possible with right managment. The color of the child would be determined the same as a normal Aria and their markings would be the same as that of the dragon parent. Their "human" form however would lack the longer canine teeth, claw like finger nails and excessive strength of a pure blood dragon. They also lack the ability to fly in their human form.

Crossing an Aria with any other magical species causes distorted or strange coloration. Often a mix of 2 or more colors.

Scales

The body of the Aria is covered in thick and wide plates of scales along their back and side. Their under belly however is just thick skin, there are no armor plates. This makes their belly vulnerable.
